WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (August 22, 2024) – Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream® returns with menacing scares and more screams than ever before, beginning Friday, September 6. Commemorating 25 years of fear, visitors fate awaits with five haunted houses, six terror-tories™ and four sinister shows, complete with six BOOze bars and bites to fuel the fear and tackle the night’s frights. Beyond the haunts, guests can take their horror to new heights with nighttime rides on world-class coasters, including the all-new Loch Ness Monster: The Legend Lives On. Virginia’s premier Halloween event takes screams to the extreme with new, startling scares throughout the park, leaving no tale of terror left unturned. Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream®, which received USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for the #2 Theme Park Halloween Event in 2023, runs select dates from September 6 – November 3, 2024.

All-New Fiends: The Freakquel in the Abbey Stone Theatre

Returning from a long hiatus inside his Transylvanian castle, Doctor Freakenstein wants to reintroduce himself to the world in the only way he knows how: a Hollywood-style blockbuster about his life. With the help of his trusted sidekick Igor, the Doctor invites each of his iconic fiends – Wolfman, Drac, The Bride, and the Creature of the Black Lagoon – to join his filmmaking festivities in a pop-culture centric song and dance extravaganza!

All-New Spine-Chilling Houses and Sinister Scare Zones  

  • NEW Clown Town: Having been deemed ‘too terrifying’ for the park, the clowns of Busch Gardens’ Festa Italia village were cast out. Now, shunned and vengeful, these twisted jesters have forged their own dark domain – CLOWN TOWN. In their eerie enclave, they are the rulers of all, and their whims dictate who will escape… and who will remain trapped in their demented circus… for all eternity.
  • NEW Monster Manor:  The Doctor is in! The anatomy of evil has been perfected, and the Doctor is bringing his dark arts into grotesque reality! Within his chilling laboratory, he weaves unspeakable horrors, transforming hapless victims into monstrous creations. Here, the boundaries of humanity are torn apart, and the screams of his abominations echo through the night. Dare to enter and face the horrid results of his twisted experiments?  
  • NEW The Bash: Howl-O-Scream characters from years past have been summoned to France for a sinister celebration marking 25 years of Fears. The air is thick with dread as these malevolent monsters converge for a night of ghastly revelry. Dare to join the horrifying reunion and face the legends of horror that refuse to rest.
  • NEW Stalker Street: As darkness falls, New France transforms into a nightmarish realm where terror reigns supreme. The townsfolk barricade themselves in their homes, while sinister scarecrows stalk the deserted streets, hunting for their next victim. Enter if you dare and navigate the shadows where every rustle and whisper could be your last. 

No Howl-O-Scream adventure is complete without spectacular bites and drinks to fuel guests as they face their deepest fears. Guests can grab some liquid courage at six BOOze bars throughout the park, including the all-new Crows Nest in New France. Plus, the selection of spooky shops offer an array of gifts to help visitors relive the thrills of Howl-O-Scream long after their terror-filled evening has ended.

For a limited-time, guests can buy a 2025 Busch Gardens Fun Card and get Water Country USA FREE, offering unlimited admission to Water Country USA through September 15, 2024 and Busch Gardens Williamsburg through this year’s Howl-O-Scream, plus 2025. The 2025 Fun Card is valid now through Nov. 3, 2024, plus Jan. 24 – Sept. 1, 2025.
