Fairy QuestLong time readers of the site will know that, back at the beginning of February, I vented my frustration with being unable to find information on Humberto Ramos’ and Paul Jenkins’ Fairy Quest, a tale mixing multiple storybook tales (like Litted Red Riding Hood and Wizard of Oz) into a dark world.  It sounded great, it looks great, and, other than a statue and a sketchbook, nothing’s been released from it.

Well, Humberto Ramos updated his blog with some Fairy Quest news!

As I am currently working in the AVENGERS THE INITIATIVE book (right now I’m drawing the last page of issue 23),  people is always asking me about what I’m going to do after that (my run in the book ends with issue 25). Let me tell you my next project will have nothing to do with MARVEL mainstream, all the contrary, let’s say I’m taking a sabbatical and again shoulder  by shoulder with Paul Jenkins I will draw this book we called FAIRYQUEST, that will  take me the rest of the year to produce it and it’ll be publish by SOLEIL ( and hopefully by MARVEL too),  at the same time I will finally wrap up the third volume of K (those who follow BD know what I’m talking about).

This is a book Paul and I created many years ago, and we can’t wait to see this project been finally published, if you have seen my latest SKTECHBOOK you got a glimpse of what the story is going to be about, for those who didn’t got the book (same on you!!) I can only tell you is a  story  about love and sacrifice, dressed with tons of action and adventure.

So this is it, the countdown to FQ starts here, hopelly you might have it in your hands by the end of the year.

Kookaburra KThis is great news!  By the end of the year?  I’m totally psyched.  I’m a little concerned about it only being published by Soleil at first though.  They produce great looking stuff, but it’s only in French.  How long will we have to wait for the English version?  Hopefully not too long.  The beautiful Kookaburra K, originally published by Soleil in 2006 and which I have been unable to read for years, is finally coming stateside thanks to Marvel.
