I think Screamscape may be the greatest theme park news site in the Universe.  Yesterday, they managed to have a very interesting scoop about the upcoming Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction at my home away from home, Universal Studios Orlando’s Islands of Adventure.  I love that place, and I’m really excited about the upcoming addition to the park.  I’m sad that they had to remove The Lost Continent section of the park to put it in, but, really, other than the Dueling Dragons roller coaster, I doubt I’ll be missing much.

Anyway, according to this article, Hermione herself, Emma Watson, has told the BBC that she and her fellow Harry Potter stars have filmed footage exclusively for the ride.  I’d expect more news about this to come out in the following days, with the impending release of the new movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, although they may wait until the DVD release.

Also interesting are the changes to the official site of the attraction, including revised artwork (to make it more in line with the reality of what they’re building, I’d imagine), and new teaser art showing Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter, wand at the ready.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is due out in theaters on July 15th.  The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is set to open next year.
