I didn’t read the first volume of BIRDS OF PREY, but I heard great things about it.  That being said, I’m pretty sure I won’t be missing out when it returns this Spring under the ever-trustworthy team of Gail Simone and Ed Benes!

DC released a preview image of the new Birds team today, along with a bit more information on the title.  There are, as usual in announcements nowadays, characters blocked out.  My guess?  They’re Hawk and Dove.  But a dude on the Birds of Prey team?  Well, it’s either him or Stompa (or even Amanda Wallace…but I doubt it).  I mean, look how big that character is!

If I hadn’t just spent $250 on Rob Liefeld Extreme Studios comics, I would most certainly be buying Birds of Prey trades right now … maybe soon 🙂
