Man, I love the original Jurassic Park. I’d venture to say it’s one of my favorite movies and one that I don’t get tired of, no matter how many times I see it. Of course, as much as I love the first, I absolutely hate its sequel, The Lost World. But I do enjoy Jurassic Park III.
When the original Jurassic Park came out, I remember being excited that Topps Comics was producing a comic book adaptation of the film, featuring art my comics legend Gil Kane. I loved the adaptation, and it must have done well for the company, because they produced a number of comic books based on the property after. Since Topps Comics went under though, Jurassic Park has been out of the comics world (hell, and the movie world since 2001’s Jurassic Park III).
Thankfully, partnering with Universal Parnerships & Licensing, IDW is ready to return us to the world of Jurassic Park with both new stories, and collections of the excellent Topps material. The first mini series, Redemption, starts this June, and the first issue features a cover by Frank Miller!
