I love rock opera. I love post-apocolyptic future settings. I love torn characters, tragic romance, deception, isolation,murder… ohhhh murder. I love gothic and punk fashions, cult films, and Paris Hilton… Ok, maybe not that last one. Repo! The Genetic Opera is not for everyone. Hell, its not even for the majority of people. Still, there are those like me that see it and fall deeply and passionately in love with it. Sure, it has it’s faults but those only make is enduring traits more… enduring.

So, why am I talking about a movie in a music column? Because its an Opera. Not a musical. Everything is sung, the entire movie is music. With that, I give you my favorite song from the Opera. I’ll say this again, this isn’t for everyone. Just like Rocky Horror or Plan 9 from Outer Space there will be a good number of people who don’t like it. That’s fine but if you do like it, welcome to the cult.
