Dammit…I really hope I can get my hands on these kick-ass variants that DC Comics is releasing for their 75th anniversary. To celebrate, DC is releasing a series of variants, recreations of classic covers by some of today’s most talented artists. First up is the above recreation of the cover to Detective Comics #168 (originally byLew Sayre Schwartz) by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. Also revealed is a recreation of Neal Adams’ iconic SUPERMAN #233 cover by by Eduardo Risso, the artist of Vertigo’s 100 Bullets and Wednesday Comics’ “Batman” strip.
