I am a fan of cross-genre gaming. I was intrigued when I was introduced to Suzerain: Pocket Universe as the back cover description showed that this was a game that was solidly within my wheelhouse. In this game, your character is a hero that is a representative of the gods. Their adventures can span the […]
We love Ron Marz here at Funnybooks. It’s been a while since we’ve had a guest on the show, so what better way to get back into the swing of things than to chat with friend of the podcast Ron about his newest project, Prophecy, from Dynamite Entertainment, now on comic shelves everywhere? The massive […]
It is safe to say that John Carter did not do as well as Disney would have liked. It is pretty clear by now that it is more on the Prince of Persia end of the profit scale than on the Pirates of the Caribbean end. That’s a shame, really. The original John Carter books […]
Given the title, it’s not hard to guess what kind of adventure Strike Force 7: Operation Winter Kill is going to be. If there is any confusion, though, let me clarify. It is an action movie turned into a Savage Worlds adventure. That’s no criticism as the Fast! Furious! Fun! style of Savage Worlds fits […]

Interface Zero: San Francisco is a city book for Interface Zero by Gunmetal Games. In case you were wondering, Interface Zero is a setting that utilizes the Savage World rules. The year is 2088 and […]

She is simply changed to fit the genre contained within the book. The red-headed Amazon on the cover of the Fantasy Companion is the red-headed […]

Hailed as sharply written and produced, The Variants is a web series set in a comic shop telling stories of the mostly fictional personalities that work there. The series has enjoyed notable guest stars such as Scott Kurtz, Ben Templesmith and Mark Waid. On the heels of completing season 2, The Variants is gearing up […]
We are living in a new golden age if you are a lover of super hero role-playing games. With the release of Marvel Heroic Roleplaying, both major comics publishers have their worlds available to be utilized. This is something that hasn’t happened in well over a decade. DC Adventures was released back in 2010 by […]
I love comics, super heroes, and role-playing games. Since you are reading this here on Ideology of Madness, I am going to assume that you love these things as well. Allow me to offer you a virtual fist bump. I’ld throw in the shoulder bump but I don’t know you that well. We’ll get there though, I […]
