So…all the hints they’ve been giving about Blackest Night, they’ve still managed to avoid giving any MAJOR spoilers away. Well, until DC Direct put out an ad about the Blackest Night action figures coming out this September. This is old news, but it doesn’t seem like everyone has seen this. Big spoilers after the jump […]
Well, week zero, technically, since the first issue of Battle for the Cowl doesn’t come out until next Wednesday. Still, this week saw the release of Gotham Gazette: Batman Dead?, a sort of prelude to the storyline that introduces some of the bit players, rather than focusing on major characters like Robin and Nightwing. Gotham […]
Huge screwgie. The line I was in was the wait-and-see line. As in wait and see if there’s room after they’ve let in all the guys who got in line five hours ago. Now I have to see it like Paul – on or after the release date. Poop.
I’m in line to see the Watchmen! I might actually get in. Can’t wait to see Dr Manhattan’s junk. More updates to come.
Yeah, I know. I’m just as surprised as you are. I count no less than SIX attempts to reboot The Outsiders by DC Comics. It’s an odd animal. Essentially, The Outsiders is made up of superheroes who do not “fit” in with the mainstream superhero community They were founded by Batman during one of his […]
Moreso than anybody else, Tim Drake deserves to be Batman. Tim Drake first showed up in Batman #436, in 1989. While watching Batman and Robin battle against the Penguin, he realizes that the moves are those that only Dick Grayson could accomplish, since he had seen the same move when watching the Flying Graysons. At […]
Jason Todd is batsh*t crazy. I mean, let’s be honest. Sure, a lot of people voted to kill of Jason Todd in DC’s now-infamous “Should Robin Die?” hotline stunt back in 1988. See, Jason Todd became Robin in 1983 after Dick Grayson moved on to join the New Teen Titans. After Crisis on Infinite Earths […]
Dick Grayson has been Batman before. Years ago, after the Knightquest storyline in the Batman comics, Bruce Wayne, healed from his paralysis, returns to Gotham and has to forcible take back the mantle of Batman from his replacement, Jean-Paul Valley (Azrael). Nightwing, comfortable that the Bats is back, tried to go back to the Titans […]
So…Batman’s dead. Kinda. During DC Comics’ recent Final Crisis crossover, Batman breaks his “no guns” rule and shoots Darkseid, using some kind of “god-killing” bullet. (don’t ask me, it doesn’t make much sense) As Darkseid dies, he fires his Omega Sanction beams from his eyes and apparently kills Batman. Well, until two weeks later, when […]
Wil Wheaton was lucky enough to sit in on an advance screening of Zack Snyder’s upcoming film realization of Moore and Gibbons’ Cold War masterpiece, Watchmen. Over on his own blog, Wheaton ends the suspense: It’s the best movie inspired by a graphic novel that I’ve ever seen. It could have gone wrong in a […]
