Does anyone else find it the least bit odd that the quintessential modern American horror franchise, Saw, is having a roller coaster themed after it IN THE UK? Those darn Brits…they have better TV, better comic writers, and now…they have our beloved Saw.
You’re right. I went too far. The Saw movies are pretty crappy. Still, this ride seems pretty damn cool. According to the official Thorpe Park website,
The world’s first ever horror movie-themed rollercoaster is the most terrifying ride in the world, testing the nerve of all who dare ride as it leaves you at the mercy of the film’s master manipulator, Jigsaw.
Face Your Fears with a ‘beyond vertical’ drop of 100º from a terrifying height of 100ft, and endure three inversions adding another dimension to a whole new experience of adrenaline-fuelled fun for thrill seekers.
Looks like the ride opens in 10 days from now. If you’re in the UK, or plan on going to the UK, check it out and let us know how it is! For now, we’ll just have to survive off of pics and video from the internet, courtesy of Theme UK, Saw The Ride’s Official Site, and Screamscape.
Check out a video of the ride being tested after the jump!
