Holy crap!  Could it be?  A good Wii game?

Ha!  Kidding.  More than likely not.  Based on some of the video in the below trailer (courtesy of Yahoo!), Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings looks like what remains of that Indiana Jones game that was supposed to come out years ago.  Sure, it’s got the beloved classic Fate of Atlantis as an unlockable, but is that enough to…ahem…keep up with the Joneses (as in, the other video games with better looking graphics)?

Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings comes out for every system that isn’t good (Wii, Nintendo DS, Playstation2, PSP) on June 9, 2009.

  1. “Every system that isn’t good”? Ouch. Snob much. I admit, the game doesn’t exactly look interesting, but graphics do not a good game system make. And, really, that’s the only thing that makes the PS3 a “good” system.

    1. Ha…Hey StingRay! No, I’ll be the first to admit that my Ps3, at least right now, is just a glorified Blu-Ray player. I own more games for my Wii than I do for the Ps3. Lately, I’ve been forcing myself to buy games for it, when I’d probably rather own them on the Xbox 360, just so I can use it as a gaming system. Which is sad, because I feel like its predecessor is probably the greatest video game system of all time.

I guess I’m just bitter because I was really looking forward to a “next gen” Indy game that could compete with the Uncharted and Tomb Raider games that have been released. Looks like we’ll be waiting a little longer!

  2. I don’t know what anyone else was expecting – but the last Indiana Jones game that I played was on an Atari 64. (And I played that for HOURS!) Compared to that, this new game ROCKS!!!
