Super Mario Galaxy to have 90% new levels
As opposed to 100%? According to Shigeru Miyamoto, “the original plan was to ‘essentially create new variations of the worlds in Super Mario Galaxy.’ But, over time, the developers have had so many ideas that Miyamoto estimates that 90% of the game’s levels are all knew. The rest, he said, are levels from the original Mario Galaxy with different objectives.” (Kotaku) So…we’re not getting ripped off, and that’s news?
Wii Vitality totally makes me want to say bad things.
And not just about being a complete waste of time. Apparently, you attach it to your Wiimote and it’s supposed to make games better somehow. I’m guessing we’ll see scary games that “based the scares on your heart rate.” Either that, or it’ll be incorporated into Wii Fit Plus. Either way, this seems like a waste of money.
Super Mario Bros.Wii
I don’t know…nothing negative to say about this one just yet :-). It seems like it could be a lot of fun – it’s essentially taking the original Super Mario Bros, mixing in the four player mechanic of Super Smash Bros, and voila! A new side-scrolling classic? We’ll see.
The Last Guardian
Team Ico, the guys behind Shadow of the Colossus, unveiled official footage of The Last Guardian, coming to the Ps3 later this year. Not too much info yet on this one.
Secret…agent man! Secret…agent man!
Rockstar North is creating a Ps3-exclusive game known only as Agent. What’s it about? “Agent takes players on a paranoid journey into the world of counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations during the height of the Cold War at the end of the 1970s.” (Kotaku)
God of War III is coming…
in March 2010. Oh well. No Kratos this Kristmas.
Sony’s new motion controller looks like bollocks…
Bet you they feel pretty stupid after Microsoft’s Natal presentation the other day. Oops. This very Wii-ish accessory includes two wands, and apparently has a very impressive level of precision.
The PSP is Go!
Another new Sony PSP? Seriously? Try harder Sony – doesn’t seem like any announcements made today are “blow your socks off” worthy. The new PSP Go is a smaller PSP that resembles a cell-phone, really. So it’ll become even harder for dudes with fat fingers to play their games. Team Ninja is working on the next Metroid game…
Yes, I said the guys who did the excellent Ninja Gaiden series are working on the next Wii-exclusive Metroid game, Other M. And it looks KICK @$$. More screens here.
Perfect Dark is Coming to XBLA this Winter…
