Though Paranormal Activity may be hitting it big right now, not everyone realizes that the film has seen a long road to finally make it to the big screen.  Activity was actually completed in 2007, and is just now seeing a release (albeit a very odd one).  Well, looks like director/writer Oren Peli is getting geared up to start production on Area 51, a “found footage” film about a group of teens who sneak into Area 51, with disastrous results.

Paranormal Activity cost $11,000 to make.  Area 51 has an initial budget of $5mil.  Quite a jump!
