One of the first trailers shown during Super Bowl LII was for A Quiet Place, starring John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. The creatures of the film are still in shadow, but this looks like a nice intense little sleeper hit.
Debuting a short 45-second teaser (with full trailer coming the following morning), the new Ron Howard Solo: A Star Wars Story looks a lot more stylistic than I expected. This could be better than folks are expecting…
Arguably stronger than the initial teaser trailer is the new trailer for Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, which hints at the man made dinosaurs that will wreak havoc in the new Chris Pratt/Bryce Dallas Howard starring film.
It’s no secret that we’re huge fan of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, so whenever a new film starring the most electrifying man in sports entertainment is released, we take notice. Debuting a full trailer last night along with the Super Bowl ad is his new film, Skyscraper, which seems very Die Hard-ish.
We also got new footage from what will likely be the biggest money make this year, Avengers Infinity War. It’s short…but still exciting.
Perhaps the most exciting footage of the night, however, comes from the new Tom Cruise/Henry Cavill Mission Impossible Fallout. Hot damn, this looks like a roller coaster!
And finally, Netflix unleashed a new Cloverfield movie by surprise last night, The Cloverfield Paradox, a prequel explaining (I guess) how the creatures get to Earth. Should have more thoughts for you on that one, and a full review, later this week.
