Just to give you an idea of how picky I am when it comes to movies, I may see 4 or 5 movies at the movie theater in a given year. So typically a trailer really has to move me to go see a movie. True Grit was that type of trailer. Jeff Bridges sounded […]
It was a sad week for comics. Not only did very little hit the stands for the first week of January 2011, but there was also very little in the way of quality in these books. But don’t despair, there were a couple of winners. Plus, we return to What If We Were Writing…? Join […]
The secret is at last revealed. You gotta be a science fiction writer if you wanna get laid.
Ya know, I’d like to say I love the Castlevania series, but, in retrospect, I’m not sure I really do. The only game I’ve played through to completion is Castlevania 64, the first 3-D entry in the franchise that everyone seems to hate. Nope, the big news (I think) is that the letters columns are returning to DC Comics. So (I’m guessing) those 2 pages that we […]
I’m a big fan of Jason Statham. And I’m a big fan of crazy ass Ben Foster, who always plays a crazy ass. So why the hell have I not heard about this film before seeing the standee in theaters last week? Holy crap it looks fantastic! Supposedly a remake of the Charles Bronson 1972 […]
I’m usually late to the game when it comes to awesome stuff. Case in point? Archer, the super hilarious animated spy show on FX. I saw the first episode with my wife and she HATED it, so for some reason it didn’t get added to the DVR (I blame her). However, after the season ended, […]
I’ve missed Primeval. Sure, it’s not like I got into the show from the very beginning…heck, I didn’t really even get into the show until the start of the third season, but I had read about it before then, and was extremely intrigued. While most shows promise status quo changes that are usually undone a […]
