You know what’s worse than not being able to see Rec 2 yet, despite the fact that the original Rec was probably one of my favorite films of 2008? The fact that 5 minutes of it is now online, and it’s subtitled In FREAKIN’ FRENCH! Although that would be stellar if I spoke French. Alas, […]
Is it just me, or should “sorcerer” be spelled “sorceror”? It looks better with the “o” in it, I think. But spell check, and the English language disagree with me. Speaking of things that disagree with me, Nicolas Cage is back in yet another sorcery themed movie (the other being Season of the Witch) that […]
Hmmm…okay, so let me get this straight. John Malkovitch is currently front runner to play The Vulture in Sam Raimi’s upcoming Spider-Man 4 flick. Okay … that makes sense. In fact, it’s not a half bad casting choice, as long as Malkovitch reigns in some of his Eragon overacting. Wouldn’t count on that … ya […]

You know, everybody all over the web is saying how awesome this thing looks and…well, I mean, it’s pretty cool and all, but it’s just a teaser trailer. Very little is actually shown at all. Still, take a gander: See? Not much shown at all. Still, I’m excited about the concept – a web based […]
During the month of December, I thought I would brave the task of trying to watch as many Christmas-themed horror movies as I could get my hands on. Not as easy task, mind you, as I can think of only one Christmas horror flick that people actually like (the original Black Christmas). Still, there’s gotta […]
It’s true, apparently. JJ Abrams, not content to be producing and/or directing Star Trek 2, Cloverfield 2, Mission: Impossible 4, Lost, and Micronauts, will apparently also be producing a movie based on the cult favorite Samurai Jack TV show. STAR TREK director J.J. Abrams will be joining former Hanna-Barbera president Fred Seibert to produce a […]
I had originally written something very sarcastic about this poster … but dammit, I’m really looking forward to this film! Can’t wait for May 7, 2010.
From Christopher Smith, director of Creep (which I haven’t seen) and Severance (which I saw and mostly enjoyed) comes probably his biggest effort as a writer/director, Triangle. A mystery/suspense in the vein of films of Crono Crimenes and even with a hint of Lost to it, Severance is definitely the type of film you can’t […]
It seems a possibility, according to actor Jeremy Renner (28 Weeks Later): But Empire’s conversation with Renner took place after Iron Man 2 wrapped so, unless they go back and add him in reshoots, all sneaky like, it seems more likely that he’ll crop up in Thor or The First Avenger: Captain America. Does Renner […]
