I know it’s not Saturday, but, as long time readers will remember, we did actually have a column called Supernatural Saturdays for a little while! Last night, the fifth season finale of Supernatural aired and as reports have stated, for all intents and purposes, was originally written in mind as a series finale, until the […]
It’s a bit of a departure from our usual Funnybook fare this week. Season 1.0 0f Caprica having wrapped, Aron, Paul and Wayne share their thoughts on the show. They first establish what they thought of how the show’s predecessor, Battlestar Galactica, ended, chat a bit about the merits of BSG’s The Plan, and then […]
This is just horrible, horrible news. Legendary artist Frank Frazetta has passed away at the age of 82, as the result of a stroke. Though fans hadn’t heard much from Frazetta in recent years, since strokes forced him to slow down on his art. Still, the man overcame great obstacles, including previous strokes, and really […]
Yeah, this is probably a couple of weeks late, but given how this film is doing at the box office, I’m guessing not a ton of our readers have actually seen it. I haven’t heard much favorable about The Losers, honestly, with most reviews pretty much falling square on the “mediocre” end of the scale. […]
As I’m sure we’ll all find out tonight at midnight (those of us attending a midnight Iron Man showing anyway), it appears as if, on the eve of Iron Man 2’s release, we may have news of a secret teaser? Insiders familiar with the trailer tell us that it shows a bunch of kids who […]
Don’t forget…don’t f*ck with the wrong Mexican! This has quite the most amazing cast of crap I think I’ve ever seen in a single movie, but, ya know, it’s got Robert Rodriguez’s name on it, so I’ll see it. Okay, maybe that’s not entirely a reason to see a movie…coughspykidscough…. Machete comes out this September!
Finally, Jonathan stars in the role of his life… Princess Leia! And who’s smoother than Wayne to play Lando “Colt 45” Calrissian? Of course, Paul and I were naturals for our roles. For Funnybooks in a galaxy far, far away watch the video below…
I can’t lie – I’ve got a little bit of mixed emotions on the news that the directors of Rec and Rec 2 are doing not one, but two more films: Major Spanish studio Filmax will produce two new [REC] films in the next couple of years called [REC] Genesis and [REC] Apocalypse from the […]
Man, this movie looks stupid. Like Snakes on a Plane stupid. But what the hell, it’s also probably going to take good advantage of 3-D technology, feature a ton of gore (from the director of High Tension and The Hills Have Eyes remake), and has a pretty cool cast, so sign me up. Piranha 3-D, […]
