Man…how cool would it be to walk into a comic shop, with Hollywood-level money, and pick up all the crap you wanted for “research?” Robert Downey Jr visited a Hollywood comic shop and apparently picked up some Avengers and Iron Man comics this past Wednesday (he must not have known that new comic book day […]
This news has kind of been all over the web this week, but I’m really just kind of formulating my thoughts on it. I was excited a couple of years ago (2003, I think) when I heard that they were doing a new incarnation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, closer in line to the black […]
Hot on the heels of the Captain America Costume Leak from yesterday the concept art for Thor has now been released as well. We have already seen the production still to the left so there is really nothing new here other than a glimpse at Mjolnir. What is interesting is comparing the concept art to […]
It seems that designs for the costume to be using in the new Captain America movie have begun leaking online. A special thanks to my friend Sari for pointing this out to me. This design has been confirmed by numerous sources, but like all internet rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. Time […]
This week, Jake Gyllenhall and Gemma Arterton take to the big screens in the big-budget Jerry Bruckheimer-produced Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, based on the best-selling game of the same name. Perhaps the biggest obstacle that our heroes face isn’t the villains of the film, but rather Sex and City 2, also opening […]
Last Thursday, the second season finale of the television show Fringe, “Over There, Part 2,” aired, a rare extended adventure into the alternate universe that Fringe has only briefly given us glimpses of until this point. Fringe is one of those rare shows where the mythology episodes seem to outshine the “monster of the week” […]
Source: AICN Okay, so apparently one superhero show isn’t enough to fill the void left by Heroes being canceled (not that any of us watched it anymore anyway). In addition to The Cape (check out the trailer for that one here), ABC is throwing their hat in the ring with No Ordinary Family, which kind […]
I’m not a fan of novels that flaunt their influences, particularly when I’m familiar with the influences in question. It’s like paying to see a new band and discovering only after the set begins that you’re watching a cover band. The music may be competent, but if you wanted to hear those songs, you could […]
I can’t decide if this looks really good or really stupid. Costumes typically don’t work well on television, but there are certain thigns about this I like. Still…why create a new hero when there are so many better ones out there to choose from? Oh well…Either way, I’m sure I’m on for the first episode. […]
The ninth season finale of Smallville aired on Friday, concluding a very odd season of the long-running television show. Though this season introduced us to the first live-action appearances of many DC characters, it also focused mainly on the relationship between Clark Kent and a newly resurrected group of Kandorians, led by Zod. We met […]
