Typhoid Mary, on the cover of Daredevil #46

Or is he?  Golden Apple Comics in Los Angeles, CA seems to pull in a lot of star power, including the awesome Milo Ventimiglia.  Anywho, they have a blog (you can check it out here) where they reported that, apparently, Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica) came in and bought as many comics based on the character of Typhoid Mary that she could find, in “hopes to get a part for a Marvel movie…”

Lots of sites are reporting that this could signify a reboot of the Daredevil franchise, which probably isn’t far off.  Marvel’s already rebooted the Punisher franchise three times, and the Hulk franchise just a couple of years after the first one.  So I wouldn’t be surprised if they reboot ol’ Horned Head too.  Of course, they’re also saying that “Katee Sackhoff is Starbuck!” which is certainly not the impression that Golden Apple Comics has given me.  Sounds like she desperately wants the role.  Of course, Typhoid Mary has also popped up in Spider-Man and Captain America, and Avengers: The Initiative, all of which are viable or potential franchises in their own right (and there is another Spidey on it’s way).

What do you think?  Good casting?  I don’t really think so, and I’m a fan of Sackhoff.  I just don’t see her as Typhoid Mary.
