I think naming a wooden roller coaster Terminator: Salvation, The Ride is a bit odd, but Six Flags Magic Mountain (in Valencia, CA) did just that.  I’m not entirely sure if it was once a different roller coaster, or if it’s entirely new, but it does have a little bit of technology to it – audio speakers and effects on the trains.  Why a wooden roller coaster?  Well, according to the “story” of the ride, this is an old abandoned machine that still works and can be used to escape from the Terminators out to…well, terminate you. Seems like a little bit of money was put into the ride, with a pre-ride video starring Moon Bloodgood and Common from the movie.  Check out the TV commercial below, and for more pictures (and video) of what appears to be a pretty spectacular Media Day for the ride, check out Theme Park Review!
