Did they really think they were fooling anyone?

Wow…two stories about the same thing?  Still, the cover art for the upcoming Superman/Batman: Public Enemies movie just begs to have a story written about it.  They based the characters on the Ed McGuinness designs, DC owns the rights to all the characters … was it just cheaper to hire someone to ape his art?  Is it something in his Marvel exclusive contract?  This is just sad.
