According to Bloody-Disgusting, in addition to all of the superhero DC flicks DC/Warner Bros has in production, we can look forward to some films based on DC/Vertigo’s lesser known heroes too!

Guillermo del Toro, who has long been attached the project, is producing a movie based on DC’s hero Deadman, directed by Nikolaj Arcel (Island of Lost Souls ).  Deadman is a circus performer who was murdered and returns as a ghost who solves crime by possessing people.  He’s currently popping up (heh…ya know, cuz he’s dead) in Blackest Night: Batman.

Who else?  Well, looks like Swamp Thing is set to return too!  Joel Silver looks like he’ll be producing a 3D remake of the original film (or maybe a wholly original take based more on the comic book?).  “I’m developing a picture now that I’d like to do…I’ll hopefully do Swamp Thing, which is a movie we’ve had for a long time. We think that would be great to do in 3D. There are a couple of projects I’m thinking about (for the format) but not everything.”
