Surprised I haven’t seen more about this awesome news!  I was kind of wondering why so many fill in artists already on Adventure Comics. Well, it’s because Geoff Johns appears to be moving artis Francis Manapul over to his other upcoming title, THE FLASH!  From Manapul’s Twitter account,

thanks all for the kind words about the Flash gig. As excited as I am about it, I’m really sad to be leaving Adventures. I LOVE that book

In addition, it was announced on DC’s Source Blog.  Looks like Manapul’s last ish on Adventure Comics is #6 before taking on “The Dastardly Death of the Rogues!”, the first storyline in the new Flash ongoing.  Curious to see who’ll take over Adventure Comics – I really enjoyed Manapul’s art on that series.  Particularly his take on Smallville.
