It just occurred to me this afternoon that I had yet to purchase my tickets for the TURTLES FOREVER event – a 25th anniversary shell-ebration of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles that included the new animated movie Turtles Forever, where the current Turtles continuity (which began in 2003) crosses over with the original Turtles continuity that I grew up with (which began in the late 80’s).

But what the hell happened when I loaded up www.fathomevents.com?

Due to unforseen circumstances this event will not be shown in theatres.

Not only was my beloved event cancelled, they spelled unforeseen incorrectly!  Apaprently, according to TMNT25.com,

Unfortunately, 4Kids Entertainment and Mirage Studios were unable to reach an agreement with Fathom Entertainment to present the “Turtles Forever” special event.

We will keep our Turtles fan base informed as we work on a new distribution plan for this exciting project.

From what I can tell, the premiere on 4kids (on the CW) is still scheduled for November 21st.  But I would have loved to see it on the big screen.
