Will Jim Lee ever be able to draw the Justice League in something other than cover art and posters?

As previously mentioned here, there is heavy speculation that a Geoff Johns/Jim Lee Justice League book will be coming in our future, possibly after DC’s next big event crossover (I’m guessing the whole thing New Krypton is leading up to).  What does this mean for the James Robinson JLA?  Probably not much.  I’m guessing that Jim Lee is being given a LOT of lead time on this one in order to make sure it ships monthly when it’s ready to go out.  Given the rumors, it sounds like they’re being given the “heavy hitters” to play with in their run – does that mean Bruce Wayne Batman?  Or still Dick Grayson Batman?  I guess we’ll find out eventually.

Jim Lee once again hinted at his involvement in the project at the Wizard World Big Apple Comic Con, according to Bleeding Cool.

Lee replied “wouldn’t that be awesome” before saying with a glint that it would be “foolish, foolish” to suggest that a late artist such as himself be given a book with many characters in it, before mentioning that it was very cool now that Hal Jordan and Barry Allen were back… before drifting off and repeating “wouldn’t that be awesome?”

Yes. It most certainly would be awesome.
