All I have to say is…Thank God they didn’t stick with the original title of De2cent or whatever the hell it was.  It’s bad enough they found out a way to make a sequel to one of the best horror movies of the last decade to begin with.  I’ve heard mixed reviews on this one – some people say it’s as good as the first, others hate it.  The Descent 2 opens in the UK this December, and I’d expect us to get it over here in the US not long after.  Thanks to ShockTillYouDrop, we have a trailer AND a synopsis!

In the film, Sarah (Macdonald) emerges alone from a cave system following an expedition with her five friends in the Appalachian mountains. Distraught, injured and covered in the blood of her missing companions, Sarah is incoherent and half-wild with fear. Skeptical about her account of events and convinced Sarah’s psychosis hides far darker secrets, Sheriff Vaines forces her back into the caves to help locate the rest of the group. Trapped by falling rocks, the rescue party are driven deep into the caverns, and as one by one the fate of the missing girls is revealed, Sarah is forced to confront her deepest fears.
