We’ve shared much love on Funnybooks with Aron and Paulie for current Haunt/Invincible artist Ryan Ottley, who does pencils over layouts from Greg Capullo (and Todd McFarlane does the inks).  So I have awful, awful news….

Ryan Ottley is leaving Haunt!

Oh, the horror!  The horrible, horrible horror!  What will we do now?  I mean, Ryan Ottley is about 70% of the reason we love Haunt. So, without him, the title will most assuredly go to crap, right?  Well…not so much.  Because, even though Ottley is leaving Haunt…

Greg Capullo is taking over full art duties starting with issue #6!

I mean, it’s not a surprise that Ottley needs a break – I mean, the guy has super-detailed art, and two monthly books is killer for someone with his art style.  So, getting our friend “Cappy” (as we call him because we don’t know how to pronounce his last name) is not only the most logical option (since he already does layouts), but just a damn inspired decision!

Cappy hasn’t done a monthly book in quite a few years (since leaving Spawn, I think), but his art style is perfectly suited for Haunt.  Not only that, given his experience in the book, I manage this will be an easy transition for readers.
