“She stuck a lipstick in her boob and it fell out of her pussy!”

Yes, that line is uttered in the 2009 remake of Night of the Demons, a gore-filled comedic type horror film featuring a bevy of recognizable actors, including Monica Keena, Edward Furlong, Tiffany Shepis, and Shannon Elizabeth.  In it, a house party goes REALLY bad when dead bodies are found under the house and demons possess the party goers.

It plays like Evil Dead 2, but with sex  It’s a horror movie that remembers what it’s like to not only be fun, but also to take itself seriously enough to make sure it has smart writing and decent acting.

I’ve never seen the original Night of the Demons, but I know it’s something of a cult classic.  If it’s anything like the new one, that’s deservedly so.  The new Night of the Demons is absolutely the type of horror film that will pick up a devoted following, and lend itself to plenty of party viewing with your friends.  There’s tons of crazy sex and nudity, and some outrageous blood and gore.  The comparison to Evil Dead 2 seems entirely appropriate, as the film really does borrow some of its visual flair from the Raimi classic, but this flick is definitely dirtier with some absolutely gross out moments (nipple tentacles!) that are more fun than unsettling.

I can’t imagine there’s a better recipe for a good horror film than humor, hot chicks, and gore, but there are plenty of films that don’t do it right.  Night of the Demons gets it right, and throws in solid acting from the entire cast, and well-written dialogue.  Check it out, and, for good measure, pair it with a viewing of Lesbian Vampire Killers. It’s not the smartest or most mature horror film on the block, but it’s fun…and sometimes that’s just the right formula for an effective gorefest!

Besides…fellatio on a demon horn!  Come on!
