In 1993, there was a short-lived Canadian sketch comedy show called the Vacant Lot. It aired for only six episodes, which I managed to catch way back when on Comedy Central. I don’t believe it has aired since the 90’s. It is amazing that a show with such a tiny amount of content has made […]
The main problem that The Grudge 3 will have in connecting with audiences is that it has the unfortunate circumstances of following up the first two. The Grudge films are those horror films that you either love or you hate. I actually really like the first Grudge film – I still think it’s incredibly scary, […]
Last night, I watched the HBO Film Taking Chance and cried like a baby. A big, man-baby, mind you, but make no mistake – weeping occurred. Seriously, it was like I had watched a marathon of Where The Red Fern Grows, The Yearling, Old Yeller, and Brian’s Song back-to-back without so much as a bathroom […]
Because our site is sorely lacking in women in bikini photos, I think it’s time for another tale of The Kebbel! As it turns out, Arielle is doing something other than horror movie. Not sure how I feel about that. According to SuperheroHype.com, Arielle Kebbel (The Uninvited, The Grudge 2) has landed a lead on […]
You know, I think Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s finale episode, “All Good Things,” was one of the few finales that I felt was a proper send off to the series it ended. Let’s be honest, Buffy’s finale stunk and Angel’s finale killed Wesley, which I’ll never forgive. Yeah, he came back in the comic, […]
Okay… This seems a bit odd, but the SciFi Channel announced yesterday that effective July 7, 2009 that it will be known as SyFy. Per the press release: By changing the name to Syfy, which remains phonetically identical, the new brand broadens perceptions and embraces a wider and more diverse range of imagination-based entertainment including […]
I don’t know if it’s because it’s the third in the series, or just because it’s not as good as the others, but Feast 3: The Happy Finish, despite it’s title, did not leave me feeling happy. Ultimately, it’s just not fun – the writers/directors try to one up the tasteless factor, but it’s just […]
First thought that popped into my head while watching Drive Thru? Damn…I want a double quarter pounder with cheese. A bunch of wannabe white kids hit the Drive Thru at Hella Burger and, while ordering, the clown shaped speaker seems to keep threatening their lives. They decide to go in and teach the drive thru […]
I probably don’t need to tell anyone reading this site how awesome Nathan Fillion is. He’s like the new Bruce Campbell, I think. Anything this guy touches, whether it’s good or not (coughwhitenoise2cough) is met with heated anticipation by fans. He’s done us well, so far. Firefly and Serenity, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog, Halo 3, […]
Holy sh*t!!!!! I was totally unprepared for Martyrs. I’d heard it was brutal, and I even hesitated to see it – Inside, also from France, was a particularly unpleasant moviewatching experience for me, and I actually HATED the film, despite it’s rave reviews. I thought that the gore and brutality of that film overshadowed what […]
