…because it’s sold out! Surely it happened because we gave it such a positive review in a recent episode of Funnybooks. Congrats to Ron Marz and Top Cow – this book definitely deserves to be a hit. Plus, I hear that it’s ongoing now, not just a mini series. Good news for all. MAGDALENA #1 […]

Last Thursday, the second season finale of the television show Fringe, “Over There, Part 2,” aired, a rare extended adventure into the alternate universe that Fringe has only briefly given us glimpses of until this point. Fringe is one of those rare shows where the mythology episodes seem to outshine the “monster of the week” […]
It was bound to happen. Paul was whisked screaming into the jungle by the smoke monster. Screaming. Like a little girl. We mourn his loss as he’d want us to, by talking about the week’s comics. Paul’s away this week, apparently testifying before Congress Wayne is all that and a bag of chips Aron sucks […]
Fred Van Lente is a tease. Seriously, the writer of such books as Iron Man: Legacy, Incredible Hercules, Marvel Zombies, Amazing and Web of Spider-Man teases all kinds of hot, gooey awesomeness in his interview with Paul. He’s got lots of stories in the pipeline at Marvel and he talks all about ’em in this […]
Source: AICN Okay, so apparently one superhero show isn’t enough to fill the void left by Heroes being canceled (not that any of us watched it anymore anyway). In addition to The Cape (check out the trailer for that one here), ABC is throwing their hat in the ring with No Ordinary Family, which kind […]
I’m not a fan of novels that flaunt their influences, particularly when I’m familiar with the influences in question. It’s like paying to see a new band and discovering only after the set begins that you’re watching a cover band. The music may be competent, but if you wanted to hear those songs, you could […]
I listen to a few role-playing podcasts and have sampled a few more and there is one topic that has come up in almost all of them, sometimes multiple times. Sooner or later, almost every podcast discusses ways of growing the hobby and recruiting new players. I’ve heard all manner of methods from approaching likely […]
Dammit…I really hope I can get my hands on these kick-ass variants that DC Comics is releasing for their 75th anniversary. To celebrate, DC is releasing a series of variants, recreations of classic covers by some of today’s most talented artists. First up is the above recreation of the cover to Detective Comics #168 (originally […]
