So many amazing announcements came out of this year’s San Diego Comic Con, it made my head spin. While I have to admit that most of the biggest movie announcements came out right before, there were still a ton of great comic-related announcements. I listed my favorite ones below!
- The Avengers. Even though we knew the cast before they announced it, it was still pretty cool seeing all of them together.
- Battle Chasers collected in an oversized hardcover. Though no official word on if the series will be completed for the hardcover, or at least issue 10.
- Chuck’s mom played by LINDA HAMILTON! I love this TV show, and Linda Hamilton as Chuck’s Mom? AWESOME!
- 30 Days of Night: Dark Days. The sequel to a pretty bad ass horror movie also looks pretty awesome.
- A new Rocketeer book! Beginning in February 2011 with various creators – Mike Allred, Kurt BUsiek, John Cassaday, Darwyn Cooke, Dave Gibbons, Michael Golden, Gene Ha and a number of others with covers by Alex Ross.
- The Goon animated movie!
- Guillermo del Toro’s The Haunted Mansion! Hopefully better than the one with Eddie Murphy.
- Chew: The TV Series! Yes, based on the comic that we all know and love.
- Pitt is back! And in the Top Cow Universe! We’ll finally get collected edition of the Dale Keown comics!
- A new Iron Fist comic series. Not sure about the new Power Man, but I guess we’ll see how Shadowland plays out.
- Rocket Raccoon and Groot, the mini-series. Hell. Yes.
- I’m going to have to buy that damn Uncanny X-Force series. I just love that line up too much, and the preview art looks fantastic.
- A new “Man Without Fear” come the end of Shadowland? Interesting…
- The Young Justice animated series. Can’t wait!
- Smallville news – Blue Beetle and Booster Gold will be showing up in the 10th season, as will the actual Superman costume…and flight!
- Supernatural’s final season will feature a one year time jump.
- Amazing Spider-Man will end the Brand New Day saga this October! After that, it goes bi-weekly (instead of thrice monthly) with art by Humberto Ramos and written by Dan Slott! Not only that – peep the sweet new costume! And a Carnage limited series written by Zeb Wells and drawn by Clayton Crain coming October 2010!
