Hmmm…even outside of NYCC, we’re getting tons of awesome announcements this weekend, including announcements on two of my most anticipated upcoming movies!

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune – Looks like David O. Russell, director of Three Kings, I Heart Huckabees, and the upcoming The Fighter will be the writer/director of Nathan Drake’s first cinematic adventure.  An odd choice, to be sure, and I hope the right one.  The movies are so cinematic in their own right, I really hope that a movie will do them justice.  (Cinematic Blend)

Tron Night 2010 – Want to see 20 minutes of Tron on October 28th, 2010?  Similar to what Avatar did, a free event will occur at IMAX 3D theaters later this month where you’ll get to see a nice little chunk of the film.  Tickets are free, and are available starting on the 12th of October at 1pm EST. Extreme Makeover: Rob Zombie Edition – Rob Zombie will be helping the Extreme Makeover crew makeover a Salem, Oregon cash-strapped school’s annual Haunted House to help raise funds for the school.  Sounds…weird.  But I’ll be watching.  The episode premieres Halloween night, right before you’re going to be watching The Walking Dead (Shock Till You Drop)
