I love stories like this. Shot for a budget of $10,000 and shot in Orange County, NY, Kids Get Dead is a new independent horror film that’s not only an homage to slashers like Friday the 13th, but also to shows like USA Up All Night, and the experience of recording old movies on VHS […]
Remember that film The Canyon that I told you about the other day, with Yvonne Strahovski, the hot chick from Chuck? Apparently it also has Will Patton from Armageddon! Twitch Film premiered the trailer and…it’s not quite what I was hoping for. Definitely more thriller than anything else, this looks a lot less like A […]

Marcus Nispel, who’s great directing has been seen in Friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, has been signed to direct the upcoming Conan movie from Nu Image/Millenium films. While I’d normally think this is good news, I hear his film Pathfinder, which, honestly, looked kind of like a Conan film, was pretty bad. According […]
Those awesome, awesome dudes at Fangoria have even more Trick R Treat news for us today! Looks like the DVD will be out just in time for Halloween, with “a standard-edition DVD which will pretty much just have the movie, and then the Blu-ray disc will have all the special features, ’cause that’s the way […]
Apparently, it was almost most meant to be, according to this article at HissTank. Before Channing Tatum was cast as Duke in Stephen Sommers upcoming G.I. Joe (read our script review…oh wait, you can’t! Darn Paramount.), Jared Padalecki was considered for the role. Thankfully, he turned it down for Supernatural, because he knew that G.I. […]
Source: ComingSoon.net Is it just me, or is Marty Scorcese getting better with age? The Departed was such a fantastic film, and I really enjoyed his Rolling Stones concert film, Shine A Film. Shutter Island looks fantastic. Based on the Dennis Lahane book of the same name, the film tells the story of two U.S. […]
So, according to Nikki Finke’s Deadline Hollywood, it’s not looking good for The Weinsten Company. Here’s some highlights: Right now, everyone is still operating on the premise that TWC can come up with the $30 million or moreo marketing money budgeted for Inglorious Basterds. But that was before news came out that The Weinstein Company […]
I know, how do you fire someone who’s already finished the film? This is how: after a test screening wherein the film tested the lowest score ever from an audience in the history of Paramount, the executive who pushed for the movie Brad Weston had Stephen Sommers, the super hack director of the film fired. […]
I’ve never heard of The Warrior’s Way before, but you can be damn sure that, after seeing this trailer, I’m going to find out as much information as I can about it. It doesn’t seem like an entirely original storyline…but wow. It looks freakin’ awesome! Directed by Sngmoo Lee, and starring Dong-Kun Jang, Kate Bosworth, […]
