I loooooove me some Need for Speed. That being said, the fact that Shift 2, a more simulation-based racing game, was the only NFS game being released this year had me a little bummed. I mean, sure, I still haven’t finished Hot Pursuit, the AWESOME recent entry in the franchise that reinvigorated the series, but […]
Despite the fact that watching Transformers 2 was the equivalent of two and a half hours of eye rape, TF3 (as it’s being called in promo images) looks soooooo damn good. If you’re not seeing Fast Five this weekend (and really…why aren’t you?), you can check out the trailer for the new Transformers flick by […]
So, two recent announcements have me a little concerned/happy. Well, one has me downright sad. It seems as if Scott Snyder’s AWESOME arc on Detective Comics is coming to an end after ten issues (see Newsarama). This is the first time I’d read that his run was actually limited. Not only that … only ten […]
Without thinking, Bartleby jumped forward, knocking Cassius Carnage off of his feet. Carnage was a sorcerer, born with a powerful supernaturability, and giving him any amount of time to think would be a mistake. They rolled to the ground, and Bartleby punched Carnage across his face, feeling the sting of his hot skin across his […]
So national booksellers Barnes and Noble have announced that they will be expanding their comic selection, starting in June, to include single issue comics (and not just the couple of books). Barnes and Noble “will begin carrying both Marvel and DC Comics titles that until now have only been available in comics specialty stores.” Not […]
This is an actual play from Fear the Con 4. Tim is Dming Savage Saturday Morning for Funnybooks hosts Andrew (playing Lion-O), Paul (playing Love-A-Lot) and Pete from Ohio (playing Scooby Doo), who are the last cartoons left after the eraser genocide wars started in the mid eighties. Apologies for the sound quality, we were […]
There are monsters beneath the earth. You cannot fight them. You cannot run from them. And they are closer than you think. In a forgotten corner of Northern England, between the rolling hills and tranquil dales nestles a village plagued by terrible secrets and subterranean horrors. Every 119 years the village of Manesty is torn […]
Holy hell yeah, this looks awesome. I mean, where can you get Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michael Rooker, Danny Trejo, and Robert Englund in the same place fighting zombies, led by George A. Romero? Well, right here: That’s right! Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation (coming to Xbox Live on May 3 and PSN sometime after […]
Despite my love for BBC’s programming (though I’ve sadly missed the majority of the latest season of Primeval), I’ve never, in my life, seen a single episode of Doctor Who. I’ve always been curious about it, but, for no particular reason, just never got around to watching the damn thing, despite everyone telling me how […]
