Over the weekend, Paul announced the winner of the 100 Free Comics That Don’t Suck Give-A-Way. It was Bear Swarm’s Rob that won the day. He gave a nice shout out to IoM over on his podcast while at the same time speaking rather harshly of me. I suggested to Paul that perhaps, just […]
DCU’s The Source Blog (the only place on the net worth going that’s not IoM) had some awesome news and preview art this week! First up is the news that the sadly mediocre (they say it’s intentional so far…suuuuurrreee) Flash: Rebirth series is now going to run at six issues instead of five, ending instead […]
Who, you might ask? Who won the coolest prize YET from Ideology of Madness? Well, the winner is….drum roll please…badadadadadadadadada…. ROB from Bear Swarm Podcast! Rob gave us a shout out in Episode 56 (Fleshing out NPCs), and now, he’s got 100 free comics coming his way! Congrats Rob! You kick much ass! Check out […]
I was afforded the opportunity to take a peak at the entire first issue of We Kill Monsters coming this July from Red 5. You may recall We Kill Monsters from Free Comic Book Day, when the nice folks at Red 5 provided a free preview. Gotta tell you, this book looks awfully cool. It’s […]
One of my favorite aspects of the Green Hornet was that he was actually the grand-nephew of the Lone Ranger. Now that The Green Hornet is set to be published by Dynamite Entertainment, who also owns the rights to the Lone Ranger, I hope we get to see a little more of that backstory. Anywho… […]

I didn’t pick up J. Michael Straczynski’s run on Thor when it began back in 2007. Thor is one of those characters that you either get really right, or really, really wrong. I understand he’s a tricky character to write. The way he speaks, and even his character in general, lends itself to, in the […]
One of the finest, most horrific books I read last year was Professor Kim Paffenroth’s Dying to Live: Life Among the Undead. It was a wonderful experience reading that story, so I was excited to find Paffenroth has written a sequel to it, Dying to Live: Life Sentence. I haven’t had a chance to read […]
