So, Tony Daniel’s blog is still down, but through the wonders of the internet, you can still find the goodies he posted about the post-Battle for the cowl Batman and Robin designs. I posted the first here, which gives away the identity of Batman, and you can see Robin after the jump!
So, back in February, I professed my love for Skulduggery Pleasant, the series of novels about the skeleton detective and his teenage sidekick, Valkyrie Cain. I also explained my frustration that the book was due out in April overseas, but wouldn’t see the light of day in the US until August. Well, as it turns […]
Sorry, not going to give it away here. You’re going to have to read after the jump to find out! Tony Daniel (the current writer/artist of Battle for the Cowl) posted on his blog yesterday (the posting was removed later in the day, and now the blog is down entirely) some redesign ideas for the […]
Damn you, DC Comics. Damn you to hell! What has inspired my anger, you may ask? Why is a DC Comics fanboy crying out in hatred towards his beloved DC Comics? Well, because, starting in June, they want to make me broke. DC Comics released their solicitations for June this week, and the new line […]
I was once told that most good stories begin with the phrase “To be honest, I didn’t think things through.” Once properly placed within the narrative there is a good chance that the phrase “and that’s when things went south,” will be the lead up to the climax of the story and reveal where everything […]
Is it just me, or do you have to go to multiple comic shops all across town just to pick up the comics you want? I love my local comic shop, but it seems harder and harder, especially in today’s economy where most comic shops are just trying to order what they think will sell, […]
Do you know what the Battle for the Cowl is missing? More Dustin Nguyen art. I mean, look at the piece to your right. Isn’t it bee-yew-tee-ful? I think so. Anywho, you can find that and tons more awesome art at his official blog, which was recently updated with some freakin’ excellent news! our Heart […]
Didn’t understand Grant Morrison’s Batman R.I.P.? Don’t worry…most of us didn’t. The highly anticipated storyline had many readers (not me) swear never to buy another Batman comic as long as Morrison was involved. Mostly because of it’s incoherent plotline and unfulfilling ending. Though, I have to admit, I kinda dug the redesign they did on […]
It’s been awhile since I’ve enjoyed some event television. There can be no doubt that the final episode of fan-favorite series Battlestar Galactica was a big frakkin’ deal to the fans. Starting out with a heavy dose of angst, the show began four seasons, a movie, and a mini-series ago. Many were concerned over […]
Long time readers of the site will know that, back at the beginning of February, I vented my frustration with being unable to find information on Humberto Ramos’ and Paul Jenkins’ Fairy Quest, a tale mixing multiple storybook tales (like Litted Red Riding Hood and Wizard of Oz) into a dark world. It sounded great, […]
