Replacing our old feature The Crap You Should Buy This Week, The Pull-List is our opportunity to tell you guys about the crap we’re going to buy this week (and probably speak about during our podcast), so you can get a peek into what comics our twisted minds enjoy. You can access the week’s new […]
According to Bloody-Disgusting, in addition to all of the superhero DC flicks DC/Warner Bros has in production, we can look forward to some films based on DC/Vertigo’s lesser known heroes too! Guillermo del Toro, who has long been attached the project, is producing a movie based on DC’s hero Deadman, directed by Nikolaj Arcel (Island […]
It’s true! Previously, on an episode of Funnybooks with Aron and Paulie that I’m too lazy to look up right now (you should listen to all of them anyway), Aron and I spoke about the rumor that DC would be releasing more rings similar to the sweet jiminy awesome Black Lantern ring released with issue […]
Well, I’ve worked my way through my introduction back into comics. What’s next? First of all, I want to get more in depth with my reviews. It’s safe to say you may see spoiler warnings from time to time. But, with that in mind, here’s a few different ideas I have: Character Spotlight: I want […]
New Mutants #1-3 This is a great book for new readers and old fans alike. The title begins right with the Return of Legion storyline. This story (at least the first 3 parts, I’ve read) gives new readers a great, fresh story, while old readers of the first New Mutants are given a rare amount […]
The Mighty Avengers #27 This is one of the few books, I picked up that was beginning a storyline. This Avengers title is unique, in that it does not tie in with the Dark Reign event going on in Marvel. I claim to not be into cosmic level heroes or villains, but in a book […]
I’ve really been looking forward to Vertigo Crime. See, even though I’ve never read 100 Bullets, which I hear is the ultimate example of the genre, I love crime comics. I especially loved the recent Darwyn Cooke graphic novel from IDW, Parker: The Hunter, which put me in the mood for more new comic crime […]
X-Factor #45-46 If you’re only reading one X-Title, this should NOT be it. This book is crap, man. Seriously, it’s a bit steaming. The characters are a flat and uninteresting motley crew of F-list characters. You stick Aron Head in this book with no powers, and it’s more interesting. Luke Meyer would have too much […]
