I think 2008 was the definitive year that independent comics, for me, surpassed mainstream comics in both art and story quality, as well as in my purchases. Don’t get me wrong, I still collect some mainstream titles, but most are published by DC – the Bat books (which I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon) […]
We don’t write about music enough here on IoM, which is why I thought I’d bring your attention to a unique CD that came out recently that may interest you guys! Set in 1942 at the height of WWII, Whisper House centers around eleven-year-old Christopher, an imaginative but melancholy child whose father recently died in […]
No no no!!!! Courtesy of DC’s Source Blog, we bring you…wait, is that blue blood?
Inglorious Basterds, coming out Not Soon Enough (August 21st) had a special trailer premiere last night during “American Idol.” Not sure how to take that…but I’ll take any footage of this movie I can get. Watch the footage below – now with more Eli!
Source: TVShowsonDVD So say we all! With the recent Battlestar Galactica-sized hole in my life, I’ve found that TV just isn’t the same anymore. Jokes just aren’t as funny. Again, think of these as different knobs and dials you can adjust in order to make overland travel as easy or as complicated as […]
So, according to a recent interview at Comic Book Resources, Brian Austin Green is a huge fan of Green Lantern and is basically pitching to the fans the idea of playing Hal in the big screen adaptation to be directed by Casino Royale‘s Martin Campbell. Now, I’m not a fan of Terminator: The Sarah Connor […]
Jeff Smith, creator of Bone, announced today that RASL #4 comes out April 22nd at your FLCS. Jeff Smith…man, what do I say about the guy? He never ceases to amaze he, but he’s as frustrating as he is awesome. See, RASL, for those not in the know, is about an art thief who’s figured […]
So…I know I’m a week late in my review/summary of Battle for the Cowl #2. I’ll hopefully have it up for everyone interested this Thursday! In the meantime, Ign had the cover premiere for Grant Morrison/Frank Quitely’s Batman and Robin #2, which you can see at right also. In its black-and-white state, I absolutely love […]
