If you’e listened to this week’s episode of Funnybooks with Aron and Paulie, you’ll know I had about $300 in credit at www.mycomicshop.com to play with over the holidays, and spend it I did! In addition to buying an assload of Extreme Studios comics from the early 90’s, I also raked in a couple of […]

Have you ever seen the television show Ghost Adventures, which currently airs on Travel Channel Fridays at 9PM E/P? My wife and I lovingly refer to the show as “Ghost Douchbags,” due to the three ghost hunting hosts of the show and their relative douchery. Ghost Adventures is similar to Ghost Hunters (from SyFy Channel) […]
In a stunning turn, Paul invokes the Apontalypse signalling the destruction of all we hold dear and sacred. Before the world ends, though, we talk about the week’s comics. Paul sells some books, Paul buys some books from MyComicShop.com CANCELED: Kieron Gillen’s S.W.O.R.D and Rick Remender’s Doctor VooDoo Adventure Comics #6 Blackest Night Update Green […]
Dear One Geek, Whether tabletop or LARP, certain folks I game with seem to have more fun bragging about how cool their characters are than actually gaming. We’ve shared much love on Funnybooks with Aron and Paulie for current Haunt/Invincible artist Ryan Ottley, who does pencils over layouts from Greg Capullo (and Todd McFarlane does the inks). So I have awful, awful news…. Ryan Ottley is leaving Haunt! Oh, the horror! The horrible, horrible horror! What will we do now? I mean, […]
Tom Taylor had a life that was screwed from go. His father created the Tommy Taylor fantasy series, boy-wizard novels with popularity on par with Harry Potter. The problem is Dad modeled the fictional epic so closely to Tom’s real life that fans are constantly comparing him to his counterpart, turning him into the lamest […]
