Hmmm…there’s some interesting stuff coming up in July, based on Marvel’s July solicits, including what appears to be a “Rebirth”-style series, featuring the return of a beloved character, an interesting new take on the X-Men, and some interesting stuff finally happening to Spider-Man and Hulk! Click the pic of the Dark X-Men to check out […]
According to the “What Marvel Hero or Villain Are You?” test on Facebook, I would be THANOS. You’re not evil per se, just fascinated by nihilism and the darker side of life since you’re an outsider from birth. You’ve flirted with omniscience, omnipotence, and Death herself(literally). For once, I found something on Facebook that is […]
Marvel made comic collecting easy for me. After Secret Invasion, I decided that the Marvel Universe was not a universe I was interested in. I love Spider-Man, but after making a deal with Mephisto and all the yada yada that followed, I just couldn’t get into Brand New Day. I even tried again when they […]
When I was just a wee fanboy, Sunday was comic book day. It wasn’t the day new comics came out. Rather, it was the day I went to the comic shop. My parents were divorced. I lived with Mom, staying with Dad every other weekend. No matter where I was, though, Sunday was comic book […]
Long time readers of the site will know that, back at the beginning of February, I vented my frustration with being unable to find information on Humberto Ramos’ and Paul Jenkins’ Fairy Quest, a tale mixing multiple storybook tales (like Litted Red Riding Hood and Wizard of Oz) into a dark world. As long as it seems to be taking for DC’s Universe Online to be released, I wouldn’t be surprised if Marvel didn’t try to trump them by coming out first. Still, I get that these things take time – you don’t want to end up with another Matrix Online (Ugh). So, according to Marvel.com: Been […]
It’s been more than ten years since I have had a pull list at my friendly local comic shop. I travel quite a bit for work and haven’t wanted to be tied down to my FLCS for my weekly floppies. Sometimes you want to read that new issue of Thor on the road, y’know? Also […]
Holy crapola! Back in the late 70’s, Toei produced a Spiderman series that literally had nothing to do with the American Spider-Man, other than a similar costume and the same name. It was about Takuya Yamashiro, who was a motorcycle racer that became Spiderman after seeing a UFO falling to Earth called the “Marveller”. Takuya’s […]
After Saturday’s morning games wrapped up, Fear the Boot provided a live podcast. This is the element I felt was missing from last year’s convention, thus a very welcome addition this year. It was great to see the guys all bantering amongst each other. Additionally, they made the audience the fifth host providing a microphone […]
In keeping with the theme of Black History Month, we here at Ideology of Madness are proud to dig into the long boxes and share the most interesting and notable black comic book characters. There is a rich history to be explored here, to be honored. We’ll be doing that right here through out the […]
