Nine years ago today, Suzanne and I were married. Surrounded by friends and family, we exchanged vows embarking on life’s journey together. We share a great deal. We are both hardcore readers and each have an abiding passion for quality TV, music, fine food and wine, Church, and board games. She does not; however, share […]
I’m a big fan of Skulduggery Pleasant. After only two books in the series have been released (the last one in April of 2008), I’ve been anxiously awaiting the next tale of the skeleton detective and his plucky teenage sidekick, Valkyrie Cain, as they try to thwart Lovecraftian monsters from invading our world. So every […]
In keeping with the theme of Black History Month, we here at Ideology of Madness are proud to dig into the long boxes and share the most interesting and notable black comic book characters. There is a rich history to be explored here, to be honored. We’ll be doing that right here through out the […]
In the early spring of 1976, I discovered my very first comic book. I was nine years old and hanging out at the corner convenience store with my best friend, Stevie. While the clerk had his back turned, I dared my chum to steal something. He stole a two cent piece of Bazooka Bubble Gum. […]
We have a winner! The winner of the Final Crisis Give-A-Way, our very first contest here at Ideology of Madness, is Seraph. There have been many Phantoms before the current one – a lineage of fathers passing the torch to their sons, an oath to defend the jungles of Bangalla from piracy, cruelty, and injustice. The story of the modern Phantom, the 21st, continues in The Phantom: The Ghost Who Walks, published by Moonstone Books, starting with […]
Wow. For the last two days, I have been following a disturbing thread at Blog@Newsarama. Blogger J. Caleb Mozzoco engaged in a little link-blogging posted an ill-conceived ‘joke’ concerning a children’s costume event. The organizers of the event had put out a call for all “superheroes and fairies.” Mozzoco, playing on this wrote: “Make your […]
