I have enjoyed the terrific honor of gaming with Chris Mais at each of the three Fear the Cons. He played school teacher Peter Badger in my zombie game the first year and reprised the role in the second year sequel to the game. Fear the Con 3 saw my first opportunity play in his […]
While Aron, Wayne and the rest of the Amazing Friends were in St Louis enjoying the wonder that was Fear the Con 3, Paul was down in Florida chatting with Daniel Way and enjoying some of the local flavor. Describing Jonathan Daniel Way and the Volcano Finish Blackest Night Update Green Lantern Corps #46 Siege […]
Sometimes you just want to play with giant robots blasting each other to smithereens. That is exactly what I got to do when I was given the rare opportunity to not only play test a new game before it was fully developed, but also to do so with one of its creators. The game that […]
As I’ve mentioned before, I LOVE the days of Rob Liefeld’s Extreme Studios – comics like Youngblood, Team Youngblood, Bloodstrike and the rest, which many considered the epitomy of what was wrong in the 90’s, reminds me of days when comics were really a blast. At Fear the Con last week, I had the good fortune to play in Ross Payton’s Age of Masks Wild Talents game. Age of Masks is a setting not unlike that of Watchmen. It is a grim and gritty modern era world where those wearing the cape of the superhero are anything but heroic. Remember […]
So a very special edition of Paul’s Horror Flix today! Since I’m out of town (more on that on this week’s Funnybooks) this week, I’ve been unable to enjoy my typical horror movie goodness. I know – ghastly! But, alas, hotel wi-fi has afforded me the opportunity enough to cruise the net, spying on the […]
A few weeks back I decided I wouldn’t just blog about music I like, I’d blog about any music I come across. While that time it was clearly for an inside joke, this time I’m serious. I don’t really like O’Death but I’ve listened to a half-dozen tracks and figured someone else might like it. […]
